Channeling my inner Steve Irwin

I stopped by Gator Alley Boardwalk on my way to go hiking. I needed to get out and stretch my legs after being in the car for a while. I was excited to see three gators while I was there. One was a little one, maybe a foot and a half long, and he seemed to be a little super model. He swam over and came out of the water and posed for me for about 15 minutes. Then he'd had enough and swam back to the other side of his little area. You are walking basically on the side of the road and under busy highways so there's a lot of noise. It's very easy to get to and worth the quick stop.

    Alligators and friendly people
I was only in Daphne, AL for a very short time. I went specifically to find alligators and was directed to this place by a few different people. Everyone here is very friendly! It truly has a small town feel, and I did see alligators!! I would love to return and purposely spend a few days in Daphne!

    A nice walk
It was a long boardwalk the went from the hotel I was in ( Hampton Inn) and crossed under the interstate over to other Hilton Properties and a shopping center, that I know of. I believe it went further in behind the hotels in a more wooded area as well however, I picked not to past the point of the underpass as I wasn't interested in seeing Gators while by myself. Other guest stated they ad seen several though. The part I walk was nice. I would have probably walked the hole trail had I not been alone.
