Ed Lisenby Lake, Alabama, United States

4.5 (23 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in Ozark Bodies of Water

Take the time ...

You won't be sorry if you opt to walk around this lake. It's a three-mile walk, mostly paved, though a short part is gravel. Trees keep the high temps manageable but you will have plenty of sun, wildlife, and opportunities to snap some pictures.

    Love this place
I love coming here and running the trail around the lake, it’s the best therapy for my soul. I have been going for years and I rarely see snakes. People say they don’t go there bc the snakes? I’ve been going there since 1999 and I’ve seen a couple and they were little grass snakes. Go check it out! It’s beautiful!

Peaceful place with walking trails, picnic, and fishing.
I was invited to a BBQ here. I was SO surprised that Ozark Alabama had somewhere thi beautiful hidden away. I went back on a weekday and enjoyed a quiet walk. The grounds are well maintained. The lake is gorgeous. There were only a few other people there. My only complaint is that the bathrooms aren't open during the week day that I came. Dogs are allowed on a leash. There are picnic tables, and an archery range. There are a few swings at the range playground. There are huge trees and plenty of shade. I will definantly come back and am concidering having a BBQ of my own. It would be a lovely place for portraits or a wedding. It is about 15 minutes from the Rucker gate. Head out on 123 toward ozark downtown. Make a Right on E. Roy Parker Rd. Left on Myrtle.
