Capitol Hill Golf Course, Alabama, United States

4.5 (126 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in Prattville Golf Courses

Absolute MUST PLAY!

We did a golf trip in October 2020 and played all 3 courses. The Judge course was something very special. It covers an impressive amount of land and shaped holes that constantly surprised us. We want to play it again because it was so wild and different. The conditions were great and the course played very well and true. The Senator was the “links” style and slightly boring...especially compared to the other 2. The legislator was my favorite because it was fun and challenging but not as hard as the Judge. It’s easy to play 36 holes in 1 day because everything is on 1 property and all runs out of the same clubhouse. Food there is great and easy. They have a large breakfast menu to enjoy before golf. You can grab and go or sit down and they had a buffet also. And lunch menu was great to take on the course or sit and eat. Large driving range on grass. All pictures attached are on the Judge course.

    Oh so They say
All three golf courses are great, but the staff is just as unfriendly as it gets. I was the guest of my brother in law a resident playing" member" (no such thing, since it is a public course with a discount fee for RTJ card holders) with a range fee. He handed me some balls, and the range attendant went crazy and took them right off of my cart. Even though we had tee times, we were constantly put on the waiting list for 1-2 hours just because they would rather had the money from the tourist (even though I was one). The range balls were the worst. Capital Hill can afford better balls. The course conditions were okay, but nothing to write home about.

    RTJ Trail Stop
Part of the RTJ Golf Trail and what a pretty course and setting. Well maintained and staffed to support the number of guests. The Capitol Hill has three 18 hole courses we play the Senator a lynx style course. The course is difficult but 5 tee boxes help's a little.
