Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful

There's something so appealing about strolling through such graceful antebellum homes irregardless of the socioeconomic factors that made them possible. They just seem to embody the part that gives connectedness to their residents, little reminders that they were their irrespective of the frailties & faults. This beautiful home situated on the banks of the Tombigbee River is truly an epic site and well worth a tour if you visit this part of the country.

Wonderful tour with a wonderful docent - must do if you care about history and are anywhere near Demoplis
This is a must do if you care about history and are anywhere near Demopolis. The historic home and view overlooking the bluff are beautiful and interesting, but what really made it special was Bobbie Mitchell. She was a great docent who has been studying the home and family for many years. Her love of her subject makes the visit a very special learning experience. The shop next to the home also has a lot of lovely items. The textiles on display in the home are beautiful and amazing also.

    Beautiful antebellum home
My husband and I traveled to Demopolis to see Bluff Hall, an antebellum home. It was easy to find, and we had a lovely tour by the woman who was in the gift shop, which was formerly the kitchen for the home. She was very informative and answered all my questions very conversationally. The home is beautiful and a wonderful piece of Alabama's history.
