We have our granddaughters from San Antonio, Texas visiting with us for the summer and wanted to have some activities for them that were unique and educational. We have rented a garden plot and will be planting a variety of produce for them to tend and observe during their visit. There are also cooking classes and other educational activities for the children.

Garden Tour, Great Ideas
Our Girl Scout Troop is doing research on community gardens so that we may begin one in our own community. We asked Mr. Jackson if we could tour Aunt Katie’s Garden. Mr. Jackson and his volunteers went above and beyond to welcome us and he filled us with overwhelming information to help us get started. This is a diverse garden serving the needs of many and is a priceless asset to the city of Dothan. The story behind the garden is inspiring and beautiful and everyone should pay a visit to hear and see it for themselves! Thank you to Aunt Katie and Mr. Jackson for growing healthy food and love for your community.
