Sunday, October 2nd visit.

My wife and I arrived around 1:30pm, with the museums opening at 1pm. I have wanted to visit this museum for decades. I am sorry that I put it off for so long. It is a great museum. The ladies working at the front desk were wonderful. A joy to visit with, and quite helpful. A good start to our afternoon. We pretty much had the museum to ourselves. Any description of the exhibits would not do it justice. You have to experience it to get it. It seems like a hidden gem. Anniston should feel so lucky to have such a wonderful museum. And the cost to enter is inexpensive. We bought the AM&G Passport ticket, to gain entrance to both museums. I am so glad we visited, and I would visit again.

    Great Museum
Surprising number of exhibits and cool stuff for being in such a small town. Partners with the Smithsonian to provide some pretty neat exhibits.

Needs More Time than Website Suggests
Very good museum. This is definitely a place you could take kids with lots to learn about science and animals. We didn't get to spend as much time here as I'd have liked because there was so much to see and we were on a time crunch. I'd give yourselves at least 2 hours for this museum alone. The birds of prey sanctuary was also quite nice but small and that's okay. I wish we'd have been able to walk more of the trail though but, again, we didn't have the extra time. If we're back in Anniston in the future I would like to return and spend more time here.
