AMC Vestavia Hills 10, Alabama, United States

3.0 (10 reviews) Spent 2-3 hours Ranking #2 in Vestavia Hills Movie Theaters

good overall

The newly renovated theater is very nice, reclining seats and all. Parking is very easy and the concessions are reasonable.

    Comfort seating
Nice theater with good seats that were very comfortable. Large selection and many options for concessions. Acoustics were very good in the theater.

Good Movie Presentation -- Terrible Overpriced "Food"
The theater was comfortable and clean, and the sound and image quality of the movie were great. However--and this is a big enough issue to ensure we will never return--their "dining" experience is utterly detestable and both the corporate and local management should be embarrassed. The food that is advertised is ridiculously expensive and of unbelievably low quality. It looks nothing like what is shown in their advertising photos. As we walked out of the theater I remarked to my wife that I felt like we had been mugged and had $70 stolen from us (the cost of two matinee tickets and a horrifying "meal" of a couple flatbreads (I've had microwaved frozen pizza that was both more flavorful and more appealingly presented), two small bottles of water (the water was good) and two small boxes of Red Vines. Additionally, it is worth mentioning the extremely poor judgment exercised by whoever decided what movie previews to show before the PG-rated movie we watched. The content of the previews included several rank and direct references to sexual practices that caring parents would not want their young children to see before watching the PG movie they brought them to. I don't know what the manager of that theater is thinking, but this is exactly the wrong way to attract customers who want to return, and it is a particularly dumb business strategy while struggling to remain viable during the COVID-10 pandemic hullabaloo. I cannot in good conscience recommend the AMC Vestavia Hills 10 theater.
