Alabama Fan Club and Museum, Alabama, United States

Amazing

Watched them on TV, saw them receive their awards year after year and enjoyed their specials. But, to see wall after wall of their history displayed is AWESOME. You look at the pictures, records and awards then you have a flashback about seeing them on stage for the event. Well worth the admission price. Do yourself a favor, have at least an hour to take it all in.

    Nice museum for Alabama fans
I enjoyed walking around the museum and seeing pictures of them as children and then adults as well as looking at their concert clothing. When you walk into the museum, there is a wall just covered with all their gold and platinum records. Frankly, I was impressed that I got free admission as a veteran. I was also pleased to see that the band raises money for St. Jude's Hospital for Children. There is a nice big gift shop, but I didn't buy anything.

    More storage facility than museum
If you're a real fanatic about Alabama, you'll enjoy this. Think of it as a well-organized storage facility. The museum is smaller than the first floor of your house, mostly showing all the awards they've won over time. There is a bit of storytelling and some video. The rest of the building is for selling t-shirts. I would definitely not recommend this as a site to purposefully drive to unless you're in the area or really a really dedicated fan.
