Each artist has his or her own studio in the house, along with a gallery and shop where you may purchase art created right hrere!. They also offer classes, workshops and other artful activities. Madison's number one place for local art. Website www.16maingallery.com Phone 256-325-0161. Hours Tue-Fri 10-3, Sat 10-5. Meeting rooms available. (In the summer, come early, about 10 a.m., as the few window air conditioners do not keep the whole house cool on hot afternoons.) Afterwards, shop at Jacklyn's Keepsakes a block or so to the east, and/or eat at Main Street Cafe across the street.

Huge Disappointment!!
Went there with relatives who were from the Huntsville area and we were all disappointed. It was a JOKE!! Don't waste your time or money unless you like looking at prints (slightly above the level of a photocopier) and other assorted "yard sale items" and being watched like a hawk as if you're about to put some of their junk in your back pocket and walk out! Get real, folks, or get out of this business!! They seemed more interested in talking you into staying for some reception as they had tables set up all over the place with place settings as if they expected a large crowd! In addition, this place is way, way overpriced!!
