Pretty lake deep in the hills
This lake is right up in the hills by the Russian border, to get there, you drive past Lake Ritsa, and continue east then north. Where the jeeps stop, it's a 90 min walk to reach the lake, making the round trip quite challenging, but the valley is reasonably gentle. The valley is very pretty, and although there is a regular flow of people, it is not crowded, start as early as possible to avoid the heat, and other people. The lake itself if pretty, but not stunning. There is a shack with shade, where you can buy food and drink. If time is limited, do not consider this site as a must.
