- 4.5 Blue River Provincial Park (157 reviews)
-A good day trip and drive out of Noumea with stunning landscapes.
Spent More than 3 hours State Parks
This national park was absolutely stunning. We drove from Noumea to a couple of swimming locations and did some short walks with two young kids. The drive is approx 1.5 to 2 hours from Noumea but well worth it. Some of it was on dirt track to get to some of the park and it’s surrounds. There is a stunning red earth contrasted with blue and lush green. Our highlight was a little bit beyond the park, the Cascade De Goro waterfall. A really good accessible waterfall and swimming hole which the kids loved! Who: great for all travelers but walking, swimming and driving required. Highlight: cascade de Goro waterfall and swimming hole. When: best to go during the day and make sure you’re not driving at night or dusk as roads can get narrow, with no lighting. See more..

-Fantastic service
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Gear Rentals • Nature & Wildlife Tours
So impressed with the service here today. The gentleman immediately realised we were English speakers and offered to speak English. He was so helpful and went through the Parc map in detail so we knew where to go. He also went to the effort to tell us about things in the area such as on the coast near Yate. A great experience with this company and in the Blue River Parc. See more..

-Awesome place - wonderful nature.
Spent 2-3 hours Waterfalls
Beautiful place. Though do not trust the opening and closing time - people are on island time here, so they might be here, they might not. Entry fees enclosed. See more..

-Hidden secret
Dams
Absolutely stunning pool and waterfalls! A bit of a treacherous drive down a dirt road with rocks and potholes, then a largely unmarked walk to get there - but pops you out at a glorious waterfall and stunning natural pool. Well worth the adventure to find it. Totally safe to swim there along with some gorgeous fish. Sunbath on the giant slabs of rocks in the middle of wilderness. Few people know about it so makes for a quiet day out and a magic find. See more..
