Well preserved and looks a lot of fun
This was my first visit to Spokane and about the only thing I knew of the city was a reference in an episode of Frasier to The Horses on the Looff. So this was our first stop on arrival. It’s located within Riverfront Park and is a great relic of bygone days. It looked a lot of fun for the few riders (it was end September when we were there) and very tempting - even for 3 guys in their early 60’s - but we decided against it. Very photogenic too.

Taking a ride back in time!
What once was an amusement park has been turned into a housing community, beach, and public park. One of the few relics remaining from the park is the beautiful carousel! Riders can still grab for the brass ring as they ride the horses. The beautiful band organ sends out music, beckoning people to the carousel building. Lots of photos and a few relics of park days surround the carousel. A must-do!!
