Fascinating
I have been to this place three times, first in 2013. What a fascinating operation. For starters, you will not find equipment like theirs outside of the British museum and they keep it working! What a mechanical engineering feat. When I took my British friend there, we spent a happy couple of hours chatting with the owner about how they operate and how they keep it going. And like the folk on PEI, they are so welcoming. Be respectful of their safety instructions and you will find all the staff interested in showing you how the task they are doing that day fits into the whole process. Remember they are allowing you to join them at work. This is self guided and staff will share with you in those moments as their time and safety permits so do not plan a rushed visit. What a unique experience for those who are fascinated by working antique machinery and the sheep to finished product story. Definitely not for children.

A Gem in Bloomfield
In August of this year, we had family visit from London. During a visit in 2017, we had taken a trip to PEI and visited the mill and the my nieces wanted to return. What a wonderful place it is. The machines were not working the day we were there, staff holidays, but even still, the ambience of the workings of the mill are amazing. The shop, on the top floor is filled with a rainbow of colours of wool, blankets and other woolen goods, complete with creaky floors and knowledgeable friendly staff. A gem.

Always great service
I have had great service at this mill. We were able to see the activities inside as the wool was created. I have run out of wool and with one phone call, it was on its way. I called to today to ask for advice on washing the blankets and the staff were most pleasant and helpful.Thank you and keep up this beautiful little industry.
