Great to see the history, so to never be repeated
We went there in a cloudy but not raining Sunday. The memorial museum is really well organized and shows the horror of those concentration camp time. You can walk around outside but should see the exhibition. Reserve 2-3 hours for the visit

Not to be forgotten
We went 1/2/19 and the museum was not open but the grounds were. its a quiet place and evoked emotions for myself and my family. the amount of people who's lives were taken is so saddening. There are a number of mass graves of unidentified through out the grounds. Some contain 2500 people, 1000 souls, 800..... Ann Frank and her sister have headstones and there are others but a very small fraction compared to the unknown. There is a building of silence that was open and mementos left, rocks, candles and i was very impressed they were undisturbed. there are memorials, and its only 11 miles from where my son is currently living. The photo on top of this page is a mass grave.
