Up the street and around the corner from the famous Pasadena Rose Bowl, is Stark Spirits Distillery. The owners will give you a personalized educational tour, explaining the production of their hand-crafted spirits. A tasting of the awarding winning traditional whiskeys, rums, gin, aquavit and unique Sunshine Orange Brandy follows. Tours are $10 and scheduled through the website.

Spirits Tasting Sensation!
A highly medalled small batch spirits distillery, is a perfect way to take a break between garden and art museum visits in Pasadena, or to wind down a day before going to dinner. AND - for this “I don’t like gin” girl, there is a surprise in store! Your hosts will take you through the process and COVID-safely encourage tasting. The whiskeys are top shelf and the orange brandy is like nothing else I’ve tasted. Make room in your suitcase for a bottle or two (each 3 lbs; I put the weight in my backpack).

Intimate tour and impressive spirits!
We had a great time taking my father and his friends to Stark as a Christmas gift recently. Karen was both hilarious and extremely knowledgable about spirits. Most of us are primarily whiskey drinkers, but we all left with bottles of her impressive Skyline gin! We got a guest appearance from Greg towards the end of our visit, and we especially liked his peated whiskey. Overall, delicious drinks and entertaining owners made for a very fun experience!
