split rock rocks for climbers and hikers. It can be difficult finding parking most awesome place on earth Beyond beautiful Hiking Trails and routes are so interesting and beautiful. We did many trails in one day from morning to evening. The Joshua Trees and other wildlife is so special here. Sun rise and sun set is a must see desert beyond good

Wednesday, January 25th afternoon hike.
My wife and I arrived to the split rock trailhead around 2pm. There was still a sign out at the road that the lot was full, but at that hour, that was not the case. There is a toilet at the lot. We did the hike counter clockwise. We thought it was a decent hike. The AllTrails app has the hike at 2.4 miles. We did not do the out and back part of the hike to Face Rock. We found the trail mostly well marked, but a couple of times we got a bit off trail, and were quickly corrected from using our AllTrails app. We had a very nice hike. I would do it again.

Light Hike
This is an interesting rock formation with a pretty quick hike that goes out around it. It would be do-able for most people, I would imagine. We saw people of all ages there enjoying the outdoors. There were a couple of picnic tables and a pit toilet available. We were there about 30 minutes and did part of the hike because it was quite windy.
