Fab slot canyon being missed!!!
First of all, Hall of Horrors is named for the slot canyon inside one of the groupings of rocks. I’m amazed that the reviews aren’t mentioning it!!!! People are missing it!! That’s the reason you come to this particular site. You’ll have to investigate how to find it because it’s not easy and there are some rocks to climb getting to it…but once you find it, it’s awesome! You might want to have a few people with you to help giving a leg up etc. for the initial climb needed. I’m only 5’4 and I needed help and so did my 5’10 husband. We met up with another couple determined to find it and we were able to help each other. I’m attaching a photo so you will know what awaits you!

Good Spot to Take a Break and the Chace to View Some Climbers
The Hall of Horrors is not necessarily a favorite spot when visiting Joshua Tree NP, but it will depend on what activity there is on the rocks. You just might have the opportunity to see some climbers and that can make the stop worthwhile. There is also a restroom and a hiking trail that is most enjoyable. We made a couple of stops here during our days in the park and were treated to some climbers and enjoyed the hiking loop around the Hall of Horrors.

Attractive even through its name is Hall of Horrors
The name makes it quite interesting. However it looks like a Hall of Horrors due to the several rocks and boulders. Not everyone can climb on the Hall of Horrors. However, it is worthwhile.It didn't rake much time. Worthwhile to explore!
